RECESSION EDITIONS

Im going to try and explain this as simply as I can..

The second Great Depression is on its way, many will tell you that its already here. The economy is crumbling everything is becoming more expensive and everybody is being paid less. FTW.

I am also fully aware that many people who would want to buy THE SKULLS are students or are working long hours for minimum wage which means they have less disposable income. £30 for a Tshirt (whether it is Limited edition and has been put together by hand and numbered and signed by myself!) is a bit of a stretch for many people.

A couple years ago I would have definitely fallen into that group.

I never once wanted to jeapordise the integrity of this brand as it means a lot to me. I have literally spent blood sweat and tears into making this work so I tried to work out a way to please everybody.. Its not easy trust me.. but at least I am trying

So the differences between Limited First Editions and the Recession Editions or The Second Editions whatever you call them is as follows:

Everytime we make a batch of shirts we make a limited number and hand craft everything, we get the printing and embroidery done in East London, we fold the shirts, print, sign, number, fold and stuff certificates into small envelopes which then become swing tags. The envelopes have holes punched in them and string is tied through and attached to a small safety pin which is then pinned to the label. The shirt is bagged up and labeled for size then shipped out to you!
Limited editions normally come with a pin badge in the swing tag and also a tonne of stickers and badges and sometimes if we have seen your name a few times we write a nice personal message cos we are rad like that!

ONCE THE LIMITED EDITIONS HAVE SOLD OUT... We re-order the same shirts, exactly the same quality and finish but we cut out all the details.. No swing tags, no certificates, no fancy embossed foil bags, no numbering, no signing, just a great t-shirt folded nice in an envelope in the mail to you! No fucking about, quick and painless and still great quality!

In cutting out the Limited Edition process and saving ourselves an enormous amount of work we are able to drop the price to make the garment more affordable. Therefore all the Recession Edition shirts are £20 instead of £30.

Even tho the second editions arent necessarily Limited as we never really know the number we get printed, they are the last time you will see that particular design. Once a shirt has had a Recession print run It will never be printed again, This helps to keep things pretty limited , kinda cool and it makes me work hard and stay fresh!

Hope that helps explain things. If you have any questions please drop us an email!
